CBC Children & Youth

Community Baptist Church is a family of faith that encourages children and youth in all aspects of the church’s life. During morning worship our children and youth serve as ushers and greeters, acolytes, and sound system assistants, as well as participating in reading scripture, and a variety of musical opportunities including vocal and handbell choirs. Older youth also provide valuable leadership assisting with Children’s Church and working in the church nursery.

SUNDAY SCHOOL classes for all ages begin at 9:00 a.m. from September through early June. A variety of curriculum materials provide stimulating activities as young people explore God’s Word together with dedicated teachers who share the love of Christ through teaching and example.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH is designed to give children in Kindergarten through 5^th grade a worship time geared to their age and attention span. Children leave the worship service following the Children’s Message to continue to worship and learn about God in their own setting.

Middle school youth gather throughout the year for fellowship and fun, increasing their opportunity for community building beyond the Sunday School time.

High school youth in grades 9 – 12 look forward to youth group each Tuesday evening, when they gather for fellowship, games, discussion, learning and food. Special events including retreats, mission projects, outings, Youth Sunday, the annual talent show and car wash and other events offer both fun and growth for our youth, as well as the positive influence of deepening Christian relationships.

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES, MENTORS…

CAMPING…Each year, several of our members – children, youth and adults – take advantage of the wonderful opportunities for personal and spiritual growth at Camp Grow and the American Baptist Assembly on beautiful Green Lake, Wisconsin.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is held for one week during each summer together with Trinity Lutheran Church.
